COMMERCIAL • MUNICIPAL • DOWNTOWN LIGHTING

Professional Commercial and Municipal Lighting Across Michigan

Turn your property, business, or community into a place people remember.

Light Up Your Life designs and installs professional commercial, municipal, and downtown lighting displays throughout Michigan. From one storefront or community tree to coordinated downtown districts and large-scale permanent lighting systems, we create displays that attract attention, welcome visitors, strengthen community pride, and bring properties to life after dark.

Our team works with business owners, property managers, municipalities, downtown development authorities, organizations, and event planners to design lighting around the property, audience, budget, operating needs, and long-term goals.

Lighting can transform an ordinary public space into a destination where people gather, celebrate, take photos, support local businesses, and create lasting memories.

We create professional holiday and permanent lighting displays for:

• Downtown districts and streetscapes
• City and township buildings
• Public plazas, malls and community gathering spaces
• Parks, pathways, and recreation areas
• Community Christmas trees
• Libraries and municipal buildings
• Welcome signs, gateways, and entrances
• Festivals, parades, and seasonal events
• Memorials and awareness campaigns
• Large trees, structures, displays, and motifs
• Coordinated lighting across multiple buildings or locations
• Businesses, gas stations, grocery stores, you name it and we'll bring the lights

Displays can be designed for Christmas, year-round holidays, civic celebrations, community events, local school colors, patriotic occasions, charitable causes, and elegant everyday architectural lighting.

Every property has different needs. We help determine whether temporary professional lighting, permanent app-controlled lighting, or a combination of both will provide the best result.

Our full-service seasonal programs can include custom design, renderings, professional installation, programming, in-season maintenance, takedown, organization, and storage. The temporary displays are known for their brighter and more traditional/Christmas glow.

Permanent outdoor lighting offers year-round control for holidays, events, promotions, brand colors, awareness campaigns, security lighting, and everyday architectural illumination. Systems can be divided into zones, scheduled in advance, and controlled from an app.

As an authorized BlueHopper dealer and certified installer, Light Up Your Life can design and install genuine BlueHopper permanent lighting systems for qualifying commercial and municipal projects.

We can incorporate large lighted displays, freestanding motifs, photo opportunities, illuminated trees, dimensional features, and other focal points that encourage people to stop, interact, and share their experience.

A large-scale lighting project requires more than hanging lights. It requires proper planning, safe electrical distribution, reliable products, secure installation, access planning, programming, maintenance, and communication.

Our team considers:

• Property architecture and viewing angles
• Public access and pedestrian movement
• Electrical capacity and load distribution
• Safe wire routing and connection points
• Mounting methods and Michigan weather conditions
• Lift access and installation logistics
• Business hours and public operating schedules
• Event dates and installation deadlines
• Product selection for each application
• Lighting zones, controllers, timers, and programming
• Maintenance access and service response
• Takedown, storage, and future reinstallation
• Opportunities to phase or expand the display over time

We select products based on the property and application instead of forcing every project into the same system.

Clients choose Light Up Your Life for creative design, technical planning, trained installers, professional-grade products, clear communication, responsive service, and a team that cares about the finished experience.

Our support can extend beyond the lighting itself. When a business or community we work with gives back, we’re proud to help share its story through a press release or spotlight. It’s one way we can support the people and places shining with us—and help more people see the good happening in their community.

Whether we’re lighting one small business or helping transform an entire downtown, every project receives thoughtful planning and professional attention.

Light Up Your Life serves commercial and municipal clients throughout Lapeer County, Genesee County, Oakland County, Macomb County, Michigan’s Thumb region, and communities across Michigan—including Davison, Lapeer, Grand Blanc, Goodrich, Metamora, Clarkston, Waterford, Auburn Hills, Rochester, and Birmingham.

Select large-scale and out-of-state lighting projects are also considered.

Nearly Invisible During the Day. Unforgettable at Night.

Permanent outdoor lighting gives your home or business a polished presence after dark—and the freedom to make that look your own throughout the year. Enjoy a clean architectural glow on an ordinary evening, then change the colors for holidays, birthdays, game days, business promotions, or community causes. At home, that means year-round curb appeal and celebrations without putting up and taking down seasonal lights. For businesses and communities, it creates a distinctive way to stand out after dark, showcase your identity, and bring people together around the moments that matter. We custom-fit low-profile architectural tracks to your roofline, soffits, fascia, and other exterior features. Tracks are available in a range of colors and can be custom-colored to match your home or building, helping the system blend in nearly seamlessly during the day. After dark, individually controlled RGBW lights transform it with rich colors, crisp whites, custom patterns, and animated effects.

• Custom-measured roofline and soffit lighting
• Low-profile, color-matched architectural tracks
• Professional wiring and system configuration
• Individually addressable RGBW LED lights
• Everyday warm-white and architectural lighting
• Permanent Christmas and holiday lighting
• Custom colors, animations, patterns, and effects
• Independent lighting zones for different areas
• Automatic schedules and calendar events
• App, web, and voice-based control
• Residential, commercial, and municipal applications
• Local installation, training, and ongoing support

Create a clean, welcoming appearance with soft warm-white or cool-white lighting that highlights your roofline and architecture. Adjust brightness, schedule operating times, and control separate areas of your property without installing another lighting system.

Change from Christmas red and green to Halloween orange and purple, patriotic red, white, and blue, Valentine’s Day colors, or any custom combination in seconds. Schedule important holidays ahead of time and let the system run automatically.

Show your Michigan pride, celebrate your favorite teams like the Detroit Lions or the Detroit Redwings, recognize birthdays and graduations, support meaningful causes, or create the perfect atmosphere for a party, wedding, or family gathering.

Use permanent commercial lighting to improve nighttime visibility, display brand colors, support promotions, celebrate grand openings, create seasonal experiences, and help your property stand out after dark.

Create coordinated displays for civic buildings, downtown districts, community spaces, festivals, holidays, public events, memorials, and awareness campaigns. Different lighting areas can be grouped, scheduled, and managed through one connected system.

Your permanent lighting system should be easy to use today and dependable enough to serve your property for years.

WEDDING • EVENT • BISTRO LIGHTING

Professional Wedding and Event Lighting Across Michigan

Create the atmosphere people remember long after the event ends.

The right lighting changes how a space looks, feels, photographs, and brings people together. Light Up Your Life designs and installs custom wedding and event lighting for indoor venues, outdoor celebrations, tents, patios, businesses, private properties, and community spaces throughout Michigan.

Whether you want a warm, romantic glow or a bold display filled with color and energy, our team will help create lighting that fits your venue, theme, occasion, and vision.

Every wedding is different. Your lighting should feel like it belongs to your venue, style, and story.

We can use lighting to define gathering spaces, highlight important features, create a beautiful ceremony backdrop, add warmth over dining and dancing areas, illuminate pathways, showcase trees or architecture, and create memorable photo opportunities.

Our team considers how the space will look when guests arrive, how it will feel after sunset, and how the lighting will appear in your photos and videos.

• Bistro and café string lighting
• Tent ceiling and perimeter lighting
• Patio and outdoor dining lighting
• Tree trunk and canopy lighting
• Entrance and pathway lighting
• Ceremony and reception lighting
• Pergola, pavilion, and structure lighting
• Roofline and architectural lighting
• Warm-white ambiance lighting
• Custom colors and themed displays
• Lighted letters and marquee features
• Holiday and seasonal event displays
• Commercial and branded event lighting
• Large displays, motifs, and photo opportunities
• Lighting options depend on the property, venue, available structures, electrical access, and overall event design.

Professional bistro lighting or Edison Lighting creates warmth, structure, and atmosphere without overwhelming the space. It can define an outdoor dining area, add a ceiling of light over a tent or patio, connect separate gathering areas, and make an open property feel more intimate after dark.

We carefully plan the layout, attachment points, support requirements, wire placement, spacing, height, electrical needs, and viewing angles to create a clean, intentional installation. These lights are also called Edison lights and Bistro Patio lighting. A lot of these lights are requested in the warm white color but we also have RGBW color changing bistro lights as well.

Event lighting can help a business attract attention, reinforce its brand, welcome guests, and create a polished setting for grand openings, product launches, employee events, customer appreciation nights, and seasonal promotions.

We can incorporate brand colors, roofline lighting, tent lighting, trees, entrances, architectural features, permanent lighting systems, or temporary custom displays depending on the event and property.

WHY LIGHT UP YOUR LIFE?

Why Michigan Chooses Light Up Your Life

Because professional lighting should come with more than lights.

Plenty of companies can sell lights or attach them to a building. The difference is what happens before the installation, how the work is completed, what happens after the lights turn on, and whether the company genuinely cares about the people experiencing the finished display.

Light Up Your Life combines creative design, technical knowledge, professional products, safe installation, responsive service, and genuine care to create lighting experiences that are built around each client and property.

We don’t arrive with a ladder and make up the display as we go.

Every project begins by understanding your property, goals, style, audience, budget, and how you want the lighting to make people feel. We consider the architecture, landscaping, viewing angles, electrical requirements, colors, spacing, controls, maintenance access, and future possibilities before installation begins.

Custom designs and renderings help you understand the direction of the project before the lights go up.

A beautiful display also needs to be safe, reliable, and properly planned.

Our certified and trained lighting professionals understand electrical limitations, load distribution, connections, controllers, timers, programming, mounting methods, wire placement, weather exposure, and safe access.

We use professional equipment and proven installation methods to protect your property and create a cleaner, more dependable finished display.

Not every bulb, track, fixture, controller, or lighting system belongs in every application.

We research products and select lighting based on where it will be installed, how it will be used, what it needs to withstand, how it should look, and how it will be maintained. We care about brightness, color quality, durability, appearance, controls, serviceability, and long-term support.

Your home, business, downtown, venue, and event are not identical to anyone else’s. Your lighting shouldn’t be either.

We custom-fit roofline lighting, plan clean wire routes, coordinate consistent spacing, select colors intentionally, and design around the features that make your property unique. The goal is a professional system that looks like it belongs there. We like to say it's similar to trim carpentry. There is cutting and miters involved to ensure a seamless fit.

You shouldn’t have to coordinate one company for design, another for installation, and someone else when something needs attention.

Depending on the project, Light Up Your Life can handle:

• Custom design and renderings
• Product and system selection
• Professional installation
• Electrical-load and control planning
• Programming and scheduling
• Customer training
• In-season maintenance
• Troubleshooting and support
• Future additions and expansion

From the first conversation to the final detail, you know who is responsible and who to contact for support.

The first night should not be the last time you hear from your lighting company.

If a seasonal display needs attention, a timer requires adjustment, weather affects an installation, or a permanent system needs support, our team remains available. We stand behind our work and respond quickly because your display & experience represents our company too.

Professionalism is visible in the details.

Our team works carefully around homes, businesses, landscaping, venues, customers, employees, and public spaces. We aim to leave properties cleaner than we found them, keep installations organized, communicate clearly, and help when we notice something that needs attention.

To us, excellent service means doing the small things correctly—even when they are not the most noticeable part of the display.

Light Up Your Life is officially recognized by BlueHopper as a local authorized Michigan dealer and installer of genuine BlueHopper Permanent Outdoor Lighting systems.

That relationship gives our team access to professional training, manufacturer resources, technical support, system updates, product information, and advanced permanent-lighting technology. Our clients receive professional local installation backed by an established lighting manufacturer and a local team they can call.

We are a local Michigan lighting company serving homeowners, businesses, venues, municipalities, downtown districts, organizations, and communities.

We aren’t trying to complete the most installations with the least amount of effort. We are building long-term relationships, improving our knowledge, researching better solutions, and creating work that we are proud to put our name behind.

Light can do more than decorate a building. It can create warmth, bring people together, lift someone’s spirits, and give people going through difficult times a moment of hope.

That belief is part of why Light Up Your Life exists.

When possible, we contribute our time, design, products, or installation services to meaningful community projects, charitable causes, toy drives, organizations, and people who could use more light in their lives.

We also work to provide a surprise donated lighting display for a family who deserves something beautiful to look forward to.

Choosing Light Up Your Life supports a local company that wants to put more light, care, hope, and positivity into the world—not only complete another installation.

• Custom designs instead of cookie-cutter packages
